Making an Appointment

You can book an appointment either via our convenient online booking system here  or by phoning one of our friendly staff members on 03 5981 8555. We know your time is valuable so we try to be punctual. You can help us by informing the reception staff that you may require a longer appointment for:

  • Extra family members to be seen by the doctor
  • Immunisations
  • A surgical procedure
  • Pap smears
  • Travel advice
  • Counselling
  • Multiple issues
  • A medical report or insurance claim

To speed things up, feel free to pre-fill our registration form. We suggest arriving 15 minutes prior to your first appointment to allow time for registration.

Fees

We try to keep our fee structure simple.

Consultation
Short or Long consultation - $40 Gap payment*
Concession (valid Health care card / Pension card holder (excluding seniors card)) - $30 Gap payment*
Review appointments - $20 Gap payment*
Procedures
Basic (15 minutes) - includes skin biopsies, implanon insertion etc. $60 Gap payment*
Normal (15-30 minutes) - includes simple excisions, complex implanon, toe nail procedures etc. $100 Gap payment*
Extended (>30 minutes) - complex skin excisions, multiple excisions etc. $150 Gap payment*
Childhood vaccinations are bulk billed (free).

Beachside Doctors is a private billing practice. We offer reduced fees for pensioners and concession card holders. Bulk billing is available for most nurse appointments including childhood vaccinations and ongoing wound management.

Payment is required on the day of your consultation. We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard.

Prescriptions

If you're out of a script, come any time and we'll arrange it for you. We will try our best to not keep you waiting by fitting you in between appointments. There will be no out of pocket cost for repeat prescription appointments.

Results

Your test results are important and we have systems in place to inform you if you need to discuss any abnormal tests with your doctor. For results requiring urgent attention, we will contact you by phone to arrange an appointment with your doctor.

Please note: we can only disclose results directly with the patient, their parent or guardian.

Privacy

Your medical record is a confidential document. We abide by the National Privacy Principles. If you would like a copy of our privacy policy or further information please talk to us.

Telephone Policy

You can leave a message with our reception team and they will forward your message to your doctor who will return your call as soon as possible.
